 the 2025 edition of Paris Photo. They will be presenting a shared booth=
=2C B28=2C in the main sector of the fair.

The two galleries are dedicating a focused display of works by the acclaim=
ed Italian artist=2C Mario Cresci. Both galleries share in representation=
 and commitment to Cresci's exceptional work.

=E2=80=9CCresci is regarded as one of photography=E2=80=99s great experime=
ntal artists=2C writes Josh Lustig in the Financial Times. His work is see=
ped in the traditions of architecture=2C design and anthropology=2C as muc=
h as it is in photography. With all of his work=2C so disparate stylistica=
lly=2C there are multiple conversations taking place. Not only between his=
tories of visual representation=2C but also between peoples and cultures.=
=E2=80=9D

Alongside this presentation Large Glass will present works by Guido Guidi=
=2C Mark Ruwedel and Gerry Johansson. Mat=C3=A8ria gallery will present wo=

On Wednesday=2C October 22=2C BIENALSUR opened the group exhibition Invoca=
tions. Becoming Animal. at La Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan=2C curated by B=
enedetta Casini and co-produced by the Garuzzo Foundation.

The project=2C spanning Milan=2C Rome=2C and Naples=2C explores the relati=
onship between the human body and non-human bodies of the world we inhabit=
=2E Invocations. Becoming Animal is the first part of a curatorial project d=
eveloped across five venues in Milan and Rome=2C inspired by James Hillman=
=E2=80=99s concept of =E2=80=9Cinvocation=E2=80=9D as a call to invisible=
 spirits and a decentering from anthropocentrism=2C inviting a lateral and=
 anti-modern gaze toward non-human otherness.

The exhibition investigates the potential for empathetic encounters and hy=
bridization between humans and animals=2C challenging the very essence of=
 what it means to be human.

The Italian Cultural Institute is delighted to present Consumir hasta la m=
uerte=2C an exhibition by artist Giuseppe De Mattia.

The commercial transactions that bring a city to life reveal much about it=
s everyday rhythms. The origin of goods speaks to networks of exchange bet=
ween nations; ordinary objects document the lives and labor of its inhabit=
ants; and the ways in which products are displayed and promoted mirror the=
 aesthetic sensibilities of a community. Within this urban weave=2C we too=
 =E2=80=94 as participants in the same systems of buying and selling =E2=
=80=94 become part of a socio-political fabric that shapes both the biogra=
phy of a city and the identities of those who inhabit it.

Giuseppe De Mattia=E2=80=99s practice unfolds precisely within this space=
 of intersection =E2=80=94 between the public and the personal=2C between=
 observation and autobiography. For years=2C the artist has explored the l=
anguage of markets and the conversations overheard in public spaces=2C dev=
eloping processes that=2C through his own experience=2C offer a poetic yet=
 critical reading of the territories he traverses.


In the exhibition presented at the Italian Cultural Institute in Mexico Ci=
ty=2C De Mattia expands his ongoing dialogue with the world of markets=2C=
 exploring their expressions and contradictions within the urban fabric of=
 the Mexican capital. After visiting spaces of diverse nature and typology=
=2C the artist gathered a series of materials to create a body of =E2=80=
=9Chumble objects=E2=80=9D: ordinary elements subtly reworked through form=
al and conceptual transformations=2C accompanied by a sound piece that unf=
olds as both an intimate and political narrative.

Through the reuse of materials and language=2C De Mattia invites us to ref=
lect on the chains of production=2C distribution=2C and consumption=2C and=
 on the fleeting lifespan of objects compared with that of the worker-cons=
umer who acquires them. In this light=2C many of the collected objects app=
ear as ghostly presences =E2=80=94 silent witnesses to an economy that con=
sumes time as well as identity.

Emerging as a possible response is a jute carpet: a nomadic space for enco=
unter=2C exchange=2C and invention=2C conceived to host small performative=
 gestures by other artists. Through this act=2C De Mattia transforms the m=
arket into a site of resistance and collective creation=2C inviting recogn=
ition of everyday gestures of negotiation and reuse as forms of autonomy a=
nd political redemption.

With this project=2C the Italian Cultural Institute in Mexico City reaffir=
ms its commitment to promoting contemporary Italian artists who investigat=
e the relationships between art=2C society=2C and territory=2C offering ne=
w perspectives on the complexity of urban and human dynamics.

The Costantino Nivola Foundation =E2=80=93 Orani / Nivola Museum is proud=
 to present On the Edge of the Eyelid=2C an immersive installation and pho=
tographic project that investigates the intersection between artistic expl=
oration and scientific research=2C with a particular focus on Dark Matter=
 and Dark Energy.

This exhibition=2C supported by Strategia Fotografia 2024 and promoted by=
 the Directorate General for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Cu=
lture=2C showcases three original projects by Fabio Barile=2C Ezio D=E2=80=
=99Agostino=2C and Luca Spano.

The artists took part in a research residency program that fostered collab=
oration with leading scientists and institutions=2C including the Gran Sas=
so Science Institute=2C the Physics Department at the University of Caglia=
ri=2C the National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN)=2C the Ideas Assoc=
iation of Cagliari=2C as well as key scientific sites such as Sos Enattos=
 - the future site of the Einstein Telescope - and the Sardinia Radio Tele=
scope.


Fabio Barile=E2=80=99s photographic installation explores three distinct a=
ttempts to represent the invisible=2C shaped by direct experiences that di=
srupt and transform the very act of seeing=2C rendering it inherently impe=
rfect. By examining the tools of physics and photography - and=2C more bro=
adly=2C the nature of knowledge itself - he documents an ironic intellectu=
al challenge to the deconstruction of understanding: the artist=E2=80=99s=
 optical bench is repeatedly dismantled and reassembled=2C creating an end=
less series of fragile and unusable instruments.

Additionally=2C a series of photograms meditates on the act of looking thr=
ough =E2=80=9Csomething=2C=E2=80=9D distorting physical space and heighten=
ing perception. The installation concludes with a sequence of images showi=
ng hands pointing toward an object always outside the frame=2C destined to=
 remain elusive and unknown.

eveloped across five venues in Milan and Rome=2C inspired by James Hillman=
=E2=80=99s concept of =E2=80=9Cinvocation=E2=80=9D as a call to invisible=
 spirits and a decentering from anthropocentrism=2C inviting a lateral and=

ation and scientific research=2C with a particular focus on Dark Matter an=

This exhibition=2C supported by <strong>Strategia Fotografia 2024</strong>=
 and promoted by the <strong>Directorate General for Contemporary Creativi=
ty of the Ministry of Culture</strong>=2C showcases three original project=
s by <strong>Fabio Barile</strong>=2C <strong>Ezio D=E2=80=99Agostino</str=
ong>=2C and <strong>Luca Spano</strong>.<br>

The artists took part in a research residency program that fostered collab=
oration with leading scientists and institutions=2C including the Gran Sas=
so Science Institute=2C the Physics Department at the University of Caglia=
ri=2C the National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN)=2C the Ideas Assoc=
iation of Cagliari=2C as well as key scientific sites such as Sos Enattos=

 distinct attempts to represent the invisible=2C shaped by direct experien=
ces that disrupt and transform the very act of seeing=2C rendering it inhe=
rently imperfect. By examining the tools of physics and photography - and=
=2C more broadly=2C the nature of knowledge itself - he documents an ironi=
c intellectual challenge to the deconstruction of understanding: the artis=
t=E2=80=99s optical bench is repeatedly dismantled and reassembled=2C crea=
ting an endless series of fragile and unusable instruments.<br>

Additionally=2C a series of photograms meditates on the act of looking thr=
ough =E2=80=9Csomething=2C=E2=80=9D distorting physical space and heighten=
ing perception. The installation concludes with a sequence of images showi=
